Background

Despite a reputation for prescribing in detail the "correct" way to do things, the U.S. Army does not appear to have a general regulation or manual on weddings. However, there may be instructions for chaplains conducting marriage ceremonies. See the following unofficial guides to military weddings, which describe customs and "proper" procedures:
